“It actually doesn’t take much to be considered a difficult woman. That’s why there are so many of them.”
Difficult cause I spoke my mind.
Difficult because YOU didn’t like my tone of voice.
Difficult because I didn’t bend over backwards and violate my needs for you.
Difficult because I said ”no”
I am not stating that I am right and you are wrong. I am not someone who believes that we are good and they are bad.
I am JUST speaking of my experience. SOME of my experience. Not the whole of it, okay? You don’t HAVE to read it. If you choose to, please have an open mind.
So anyways,
Difficult for not smiling, for not laughing, for saying “step back.”
Seriously! I have been taunted for setting boundaries.
Difficult for communicating that the terms of payment were misleading and that I not pay. For not responding soon enough. For not asking about someone else before I shared my stuff.
Woman, you are not difficult. You are allowed. You are beauty and grace. I am proud of you! If the things that are truest to your most authentic self (the Self grounded in compassion, curiosity, clarity, courage, calmness, connectedness, creativity, confidence and absent of ill intent) piss someone off, let them. And move on forward.
Women, please stand up for yourselves. Men, please show up for us. To my male friends, I love and see you and I know you have your own trials. This isn’t intended to be heard as if you are a problem. It’s to any human, other women or any gender identity, who is under the impression women are difficult who have a strong ass backbone.
That’s all. Off to be a bitch.
